Contractors, developers, and tenants often think of post-construction cleaning as a single visit at the end of a job. In practice, the cleanest handoffs come from splitting the work into three phases that follow the build.
The rough clean happens while trades are still finishing. Debris, scrap, packaging, and the heaviest dust come out so painters, flooring installers, and finish carpenters aren't working in a mess. It also keeps dust from getting sealed under new finishes.
The final clean comes once construction is complete. This is the detailed, top-to-bottom pass: dust off every ledge, vent, and fixture, paint and adhesive spots off glass and floors, stickers off windows and appliances, and restrooms and kitchens detailed.
The touch-up clean happens right before inspection, a walkthrough with the owner, or move-in day. After punch-list work and furniture deliveries, a quick pass gets the space back to spotless when it matters most.
